Paul Chaffee, CEO/CFO

As CEO/CFO of Software Answers, Inc., Mr. Chaffee guides the company’s sales, finance and forward-looking activities.  With business partner Scott Miller, Mr. Chaffee established Software Answers in 1994 as a regional consulting and training firm specializing in Microsoft and education-related services.  In 2000, they created ProgressBook, and since then, Paul has guided the company to exceptional growth.  Paul started his career with DEC, (Digital Equipment Corporation), and spent 10 years in various positions, predominantly consulting with education institutions and designing and implementing technology to streamline processes, improve the quality of education, minimize expenses and increase efficiency.  Mr. Chaffee has a B.A. in Math and Computer Science from Ohio Wesleyan University.  Currently, Paul is a member of COSE and NEOSA, Northeast Ohio technology and business associations.  Paul is a member of the COSE Financial, and Strategic Planning Committees. He is also on the COSE/NEOSA Advocacy Committee and is a Board Member of NEOSA.

Scott B. Miller, COO

Mr. Miller is COO of Software Answers, Inc., leading the company’s human resources and product development teams, driving the growth and delivery of Software Answers’ products to the K-12 education market.  With business partner Paul Chaffee, Mr. Miller established Software Answers in 1994 as a regional consulting and training firm specializing in Microsoft and education-related services. In 2000, they created ProgressBook.  Scott previously held positions with consulting and software companies DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation), Pentamation, and Software Support Group, providing technology and consulting services to organizations including Cleveland City Schools, NASA Lewis Research Center, EverReady Battery Co. and Pioneer Standard Electronics.  Mr. Miller holds an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace, and a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in management and marketing from Elizabethtown College.

Christopher L. Aiello, Director of IT and Quality

Mr. Aiello directs the daily and strategic activities of the IT, Quality Assurance and Product Quality Development teams.  Chris joined Software Answers in 1995 as a consultant supporting the company’s consulting and training services, and was promoted several times over the years to increasingly more responsible positions. Prior to joining Software Answers, Chris held leadership positions with technology and consulting firms, including Deloitte Consulting, the U.S. Census Bureau and Factory Controls.  Mr. Aiello has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
 

Robert Ling, Sales and Marketing Manager

Mr. Ling leads Software Answers’ sales and marketing initiatives. Robert brings over 20 years of business development and technology experience to the company. Before joining Software Answers in 2010, he sold and managed services and solutions in vertical markets including documentation management, software solutions, and systems software for Océ and Blue Technologies. Mr. Ling started his career as an electronic engineer for Meritech. He has an Electronic Engineering degree from Bryant and Stratton.
 
 

Rob Sweeney, Customer Support Manager

Mr. Sweeney is Software Answers’ Customer Support Manager, leading the team that handles product implementation and rollout, technical installations and upgrades, and new and existing customer training and support. Rob joined the Software Answers Customer Support team in 2007.  Previously he worked as a technical support/quality analyst for AMS Services/Rackley Inc., a provider of software for home, auto and commercial insurance, working in both their Pulaski, Tennessee and Beachwood, Ohio locations.  Mr. Sweeney’s degrees are in Applied Science/Computer Information Services and MIS.

Cindy Chaffee, Finance and Professional Development Manager  

Ms. Chaffee heads the Finance and Professional Development areas having established Software Answers’ initial HR, business and payroll processes in 1995, shortly after the company’s startup.  She handles financial planning, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and more recently the professional development strategy and tactical activities revolving around continual growth and development of employees.  Cindy received her Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio Wesleyan University.
