ProgressBook – Grade Book
ProgressBook – Grade Book is a school district solution for managing students and classroom grades and lessons. Teachers use ProgressBook – Grade Book to take attendance, plan lessons and enter grades into the electronic grade book. State standards are embedded into ProgressBook – Grade Book, making it easy to plan, teach and grade against state K-12 state education standards. Parents and students have 24/7 access to homework, teacher messages, assignments and grades, which enhances and speeds communication between school and home. District administrators, technology coordinators and school support staff run reports, take attendance, and can finish report cards – either online or printed – easily and quickly. ProgressBook – Grade Book integrates real-time with student information systems. Using this program teachers are accomplishing more in their work day by lightening the administrative burden and reducing the amount of time needed for communication with parents. By getting parents more involved in their student’s daily progress, students are achieving higher academic success with ProgressBook – Grade Book.
ProgressBook – Special Services
The ProgressBook – Special Services web-based program aligns special education state standards with the education activities for special-needs students. Used by teachers, guidance counselors, and every member of the team working with special education or gifted students, this program guides educators through each IEP step including plan creation, goal setting, evaluation and student review. Each educator can type into online state forms just like writing, use a bank of frequently used wording or statements, and track and report on status to ensure timely completion of documents. For both Windows and Mac-based operating systems, this online, standards-based special education/gifted solution is available as a stand-alone program, or integrated with other ProgressBook programs.
ProgressBook – DASL
ProgressBook – DASL is a state-of the art, comprehensive, web-based K-12 student information system. Everything at a school district starts with student data, and ProgressBook – DASL manages and controls every detail. Modules include: student contact information, fees, medical information, course scheduling, history of all grades, transcripts, discipline, formatting and transmitting state-required data, and even the ability to integrate with third-party applications. ProgressBook – DASL is easy to use, has configurable security by user roles, can be accessed 24/7 by any Internet computer, and is intuitive, which gains quick adoption by both intensive and casual users.
Software Answers, Inc., was founded as a consulting and training company in 1994 by Paul Chaffee and Scott Miller, two consultants with extensive experience implementing processes and automation for corporations and large city school districts. In 2000, the duo led their team in the transition to developing ProgressBook – Grade Book, the web based application which was soon accepted by many Ohio Information Technology Centers as their preferred electronic grade book to offer their school district customers. Today, ProgressBook applications are used by over 4 million people – school staff, parents and students – in 9 states across the U.S. Seventy-five percent of Ohio public schools depend on ProgressBook in their districts.
